Description:
The paint film develops a yellowish tone in aged paints and especially evident in white paint or transparent varnishes.

Possible causes:

  1. Natural aging of the paint.
  2. The paint film is in proximity to stoves, heaters or other sources of heat that degrade the paint.
  3. Excessive moisture.
  4. Use of inadequate solvents.
  5. Products formulated for interiors are applied in exteriors.
  6. Storage of the product in conditions of frequent exposition to the sunlight or other sources of heat.

Solution:

  1. Repaint the surface.
  2. Make sure you are using the correct type and quality of solvents before you mix them with the paint.
  3. Keep the paint cans stored in fresh places, with low exposition to sunlight or other sources of heat.

Warning: contaminated surface refers to surfaces with grease, dust, oxide, fungi and/or algae. High traffic area refers to paint film is exposed to frequent contact with people or objects.
