Description:
Presence of bubbles due to the loss of adhesion in some areas, generating the lifting of the film of the paint as a result.

Possible causes:

  1. Application of the paint on a very hot surface.
  2. The substrate has residual moisture, in whose case, the moisture in the interior of the wall emigrates toward the surface and pushes the film of paint, generating the bubbles.
  3. Application of solvent base products on wet surfaces.
  4. Water base paints are exposed to dew, moisture, or the paint, recently applied, is exposed to the rain.
  5. Inadequate preparation of the surface: the paint is applied on a contaminated surface and the paint cannot adhere.
  6. The product used to repair the substrate or base is not the most adequate one.

Solution:

  • Remove the paint by scraping or sanding. Repair the surface, making sure you eliminate completely the moisture.
  • Seal the wet area with PVA or with a waterproofing material.
  • Let the area affected to dry completely.
  • Paint again.
  • Let the paint to dry perfectly before applying other coats.
