On what surfaces can I apply directly Recol®’s AntiCorrosive?

Recol®’s AntiCorrosive can be applied on any porous surface, whenever the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oxide, loose particles, contaminant agents and paint deteriorated. Recol®’s AntiCorrosive can be applied directly on ferrous metallic surfaces such as doors, windows, grilles and handrails, among others.

On what surfaces cannot I apply directly Recol®’s AntiCorrosive?

In surfaces such as galvanized, polished steel or not ferrous metals.  In these surfaces you must apply previously a primer type Wash Primer

What factors do affect the yielding and hiding power of Recol®’s AntiCorrosive and Recol® Enamel?

There are three factors that affect the yielding and hiding power of these products:  Quantity of mineral spirit used for dilution (more mineral spirit used for dilution, smaller the hiding power and more the number of coats needed to obtain a good coverage), characteristics of the Surface (more rough and porous the surface, smaller the yielding because the tendency to adsorb more product) and final film thickness (higher the thickness of the coats, smaller the yielding).

Why must I use Recol®’s AntiCorrosive and not Recol® Enamel directly on the metal?

Recol®’s AntiCorrosive generates a protective film against the corrosion of the metal and facilitates the adhesion of the enamel (in this case, Recol® Enamel).

Why does Recol®’s AntiCorrosive have special characteristics that protect the metal against the corrosion?

Recol®’s AntiCorrosive contains zinc base raw materials that provide a barrier against the moisture, protecting the metallic surface from the corrosion and extending its useful time life.

What special characteristics does Recol®’s AntiCorrosive Green have?

Besides to the zinc base raw materials, Recol®’s AntiCorrosive Green has green pigment which has anti-corrosives properties, reinforcing thus the protection of the metal.

How can the color of the Recol® Enamel be modified?

The alkyd paint Recol® Enamel can be mixed with Recol® Enamel of different colors. You can also use Recol® Tint Universal to modify the color
