Because it permits a greater flexibility in the combination of colors in order to obtain an infinite range of pastel hues. 

Why is Recol®Tint available only in flasks of 60ml and 20ml?

Because Recol®Tint has high concentration in pigments. Very small quantities of Recol®Tint produce large modifications in the color of the paints. 

 

What is the advantage of Recol®Tint in comparison with other pigment rich products?

Recol®Tint has very high concentration in pigments in comparison with similar pigment rich products, which is ideal to modify easy and quickly the color of the paints. 

 

How can the quantity of Recol®Tint required to obtain a special color be known? 

Due to different paint brands work with different formulations for white paints, it is difficult to generalize or to formulate a color in base of Recol®Tint for all the paint brands. It is advisable to carry out tests of color: mix the painting with Recol® Tint, paint a small area, let it to dry perfectly, observe the color and add more Recol®Tint or white paint to adjust the final color. It is compulsory you dry the application, because the color of the liquid differs from the color of the dry film. 

 

Can Recol®Tint be mixed only with white paint?

No. Recol®Tint can be mixed not only with white paint but also with any color of paint to modify its hue. 

 

Can I obtain deep or dark colors with Recol®Tint starting from white paint?

No. The white paints have a pigment called titanium dioxide that makes impossible the painting lose completely its white hue. 

Is there a limit in the quantity of Recol®Tint when it is mixed with the paint?

In water base paints, the maximum quantity of Reco®Tint-Water Base or Recol®Tint Universal is one flask of 60c.c. per gallon of white paint.  In solvent base paints (alkyd paints), the quantity of Recol®Tint Universal can be one to one and a half flasks per gallon of white paint. 

Can Recol®Tint Universal be mixed with any solvent base paint?

Recol®Tint Universal can be mixed with architectural solvent base paints such as non-corrosives, varnishes and enamels, alkyd type. 

Can Recol®Tint Universal and Recol®Tint-Water base be mixed with any water base paint?

Recol®Tint Universal and Recol®Tint-Water base can be mixed with any type of architectural water base paint, such as neuter stuccoes, Venetian stuccoes, vinyl paints, textured putties, etc.
