To keep the color of the base, repair the cracks with the same product, applying thin layers that fill the cracks. Level the surface, allow it completely and then apply the final finish with Recol® Top Coat.    

 

What should I do if at the time I want to apply Recol® Travertino it has a relatively high viscosity that avoids me to hand the product appropriately?

Recol® Travertino is ready to apply, just stir. However, in the case that it is difficult to hand the product due to its viscosity, it is advisable to add maximum 250ml of potable water per gallon of product. Homogenize completely and apply.

 

In what surfaces can Recol® Travertino be applied?

Like other stuccoes, Recol® Travertino can be applied in any surface whenever it is porous, clean, dry and free of dust, grease, loose particles, contaminant agents
and/or moisture. Since this point of view, Venetian Recol® Plaster presents very good adhesion on stucco, water based paints, concrete, masonry, gypsum, wood, wood composite, fibrocement and gypsum panels, among others.

 

Can I use Neutral Recol® Plaster or Venetian Recol® Plaster to generate the same finishes that Recol® Travertino provides?

Recol® Travertino is a product specifically designed to imitate the appearance of the lime stone, not only for its color and texture but also for its viscosity and handle do it is difficult to obtain the same finish with other products.

 

Can Recol® Travertino be used as waterproofing?

Not. In spite Recol®Travertino is a product with high resistance to moisture, it is not a waterproofing product and also does not represents the final solution to this type of problems. Seal the moisture with a specialized product; then apply Recol® Travertino.

 

Once Recol® Travertino has been applied ¿how long should I wait before applying the final coat?

It is advisable to wait at least 24 hours before applying Recol® Top Coat. It is necessary to protect the product applied from the moisture and rain during this time. Take into account that this time can vary depending of the atmospheric conditions, the thickness of the film and the ventilation in the place of application.
Which is the time life Recol® Travertino once it has been applied?

The time life of Recol® Travertino once it has been applied depends on the erosion and use at which they are exposed and depends also of the maintenance to the final film. In optimum conditions of preparation of surface and application, the life time should be at least five years. To comply with this performance, the product should be protected with Recol® Top Coat.
