Does Recol® Dye hide the veins of the wood?

Not. Recol® Dye is formulated with special colorants that contribute color but not hiding power, so lets you to see the veins of the wood. 

In what products can I use Recol® Dye?

Recol® Dye can be used pure or mixed with Catalyzed Lacquer or Catalyzed Sealer. 

Can Recol® Dye be diluted?

Yes.  Recol® Dye can be diluted with thinner. It is important to assure that the thinner you use is excellent quality and does not affect the appearance of the final finish. 

 

What is the degree of dilution? 

The quantity of thinner employed for the dilution of Recol® Dye depends on the intensity of the color desired.  Null or little dilution generates an intense tone in the wood, while high dilution generates a light tone in the wood. 

What factors do affect the uniformity in the color of the wood when I apply a dye?

The uniformity of the color depends on the perfect mixture of dye with thinner, the adequate preparation of the wood, the conditions of the tools used in the application (brush or air sprayer) and the ability of the installer.
