In what surfaces can the product Venetian Recol® Plaster be applied?
Like other stuccoes, Venetian Recol® Plaster can be applied in any surface whenever it is porous, clean, dry and free of dust, grease, loose particles, contaminant agents and/or moisture. Since this point of view, Venetian Recol® Plaster presents very good adhesion on stucco, water based paints, concrete, masonry, gypsum, wood, tablex, fibrocement and prefabricated sheets, among others.

Yes. Due to its unique decorative properties and its range of colors, Venetian Recol® Plaster works as final finish.

Is Venetian Recol® Plaster a waterproofing product?
No. Even tough Venetian Recol® Plaster is high resistant to moisture problems, it is not a waterproofing product and it does not represents also the final solution to this kind of problems. Moisture problem must be solved with a specialized product and then apply Venetian Recol® Plaster.

What tools must be used in the application of Venetian Recol® Plaster?
The advisable tools are spatula or trowel. Contrary to other putties, it is compulsory the tools be metallic, preferably made of stainless steel. Tools as brushes, rollers, paintbrushes, among others can be used only in some decoration techniques. See the section: Aplication Techniques

Does the product Venetian Recol® Plaster crack or break?
No, whenever surface preparation prior to the application is the appropriate one. This product contains a plastic resin that provides the final film with a medium elasticity, and then make it bears light movements that are presented in the constructions.

Can Venetian Recol® Plaster be applied on traditional stucco or water base paint?
Yes. To apply on water base paint it is necessary to clean the surface, sand it very well and withdraw the dust so that the adhesion optimizes. To apply on traditional stucco, verify that this one has good adherence (no chalky). Conversely, seal the surface with vinyl or acrylic sealer. In both cases, the surface to paint with Venetian Recol® Plaster must be completely dry.

What is the lifetime of the product Venetian Recol® Plaster in storage?
In its original state and package, well covered and in a clean, dry, fresh place, the product has a lifetime in storage of one year. Nevertheless, see Venetian Recol® Plaster’s guarantee conditions in the section Products.

Which is the installation lifetime for the product Venetian Recol® Plaster?
The installation lifetime of Venetian Recol® Plaster depends on the abrasion factors as well as the maintenance you can give to the surface. Under optimum conditions of surface preparation and application, this lifetime is at least five years.

Should I add water to the product Venetian Recol® Plaster before it is applied?
Not at all. The product Venetian Recol® Plaster is formulated to be applied directly without dilution; nevertheless, to carry out some decorative effects is required to mix the product with water. See the section: Applications Techniques

Can the hue be modified in the product Venetian Recol® Plaster?
Yes. In order to modify the current hue in the product or to use some techniques of decoration, the hue can be modified using pigment rich products such as Recol®tint. Make sure to incorporate very well the products with the aid of a clean spatula.

Is it always necessary to apply an additional product on the Venetian Recol® Plaster film to provide it shine?

What products can be used to enhance the shine of Venetian Recol® Plaster?
Venetian Recol® Plaster can give shine, semi-shine or flat finishes according to the requests of your decoration. To enhance the shine of the final film, it is recommended the use of Recol® Wax.

It is always necessary to sand between coats and even to sand the last coat of Venetian Recol® Plaster?
It is not always necessary, but it is recommended to do it. If you sand or not, depends on various factors: the characteristics of the tool, the ability of the installer, the characteristics of the surface and the final finish desired. If you want such an excellent uniform and shine finish, it is necessary to sand among coats and even to sand the final coat to assure the uniformity and smooth of the final finish. Higher the uniformity and smooth in the surface, higher the shine of the final film.

What is the yielding of the product Venetian Recol® Plaster and what factors affect such yielding?
The yielding of Venetian Recol® Plaster is between 4-6m2 by gallon. This practical yielding depends on the type of surface to work, the complexity of the work to carry out (design and number of coats required for such design) and the ability of the person that performance the work or design.

Can apply directly Venetian Recol® Plaster over other decorative stucco that is already shone?
No. If the decorative stucco that is in the base is already shone or has a wax, it is compulsory to sand perfectly the surface in order to generate points of adhesion. Subsequently, sand, withdraw the dust, clean the surface and apply the new coats of Venetian Recol Plaster

What is the procedure to apply Venetian Recol® Plaster on shine surfaces?
