The proportion to tint according to the dosage of the Recol®Tint and the quantity of painting to tint is not taking into account: for a same tone and a same final color, is different the quantity of Recol®Tint for a quarter that for a gallon.

The paint you are using has high content of titanium so it is difficult to tint.

A very intense tone is wanted since a very white painting.

The quantity of Recol®Tint is insufficient for the tone desired.

The mixture of colors of Recol®Tint is not the appropriate one.

Calculate the quantity of Recol®Tint required by color and by unit of can to tint: gallon, quarter, etc. Recommendation: if you want to tint several cans of paint with Recol®Tint, mix together all cans and then tint it with Recol®Tint. This procedure avoids using different quantities of Recol®Tint by each can of paint and let the final finish to have a uniform color.

Do not use paints with high content of titanium (very white paintings) if its purpose is to obtain a pastel but intense hue. Make sure to choice the best base. It is not possible to obtain intense colors from white bases or very white paintings.

In case of bases or paints with medium quantity of titanium, is enough if you add more Recol®Tint to increase the pastel hue. If you have exceeded the quantity of Recol®Tint, add white paint to the mixture.

In case to mix colors of Recol®Tint, make sure you know previously what mixture of colors you require to obtain a specific color.
