Materials: Venetian Recol® Plastermandarina, metallic spatula or trowel, Recol® Wax-Neutral, sandpaper number 400, 500, 600 and 1000, rubber comb and a soft bristle brush.
Step 1
Verify that the surface is porous and smooth, clean, dry and free of dust, grease, loose particles, paint in bad conditions or any other contaminant agent.
Apply a uniform coat of Venetian Recol® Plaster mandarina with trowel and, once the surface has dried, sand it with sandpaper number 400.
Withdraw the dust.
Step 2
Apply a second, grosser coat of Venetian Recol® Plastermandarina and draw a wave shape figure with the rubber comb in a uniform way for the entire surface.
Cut and withdraw, with the edge of the spatula, the excesses of Venetian Recol® Plaster that formed the waves made with the rubber comb, before the product dries completely.
Once the product has dried, sand it with sandpaper number 500.
Una vez seco el producto, lije con lija número 500.
Step 3
Apply two or more thin layers (translucent) of Venetian Recol® Plaster until leveling the surface.
Sand between dry coats with sandpaper number 600 and sand the last coat with sandpaper number 1000 to obtain an excellent sheen.
If you want to shine the surface, verify that the edge of the spatula is sharp and does not present imperfections that may scratch the surface.
Shine by rubbing strongly the dry surface with the edge of the spatula.
If you want to obtain more sheen, apply with spatula a very thin coat of Recol® Wax, let it to dry and rub the surface again. Recol® Wax intensifies sheen and color, enhancing the hardness, resistance and washability of the surface.
The secret of this technique is pre-design the figure to draw with the comb in such way that the movement is so uniform that provides the impression of a very elaborate work.
