Follow the two first steps of installation of Venetian Recol® Plaster in the color chosen as background, with traces in the same direction as to achieve the effect of stripes and reinforce the direction of trace in wood type.
Detail the surface, and eliminate imperfections following the recommendations of usage of sandpaper mentioned in the section of installation.
In the step 3, seal the surface with aid of PVA Vinyl Acrylic Recol® diluted in water (1 part of PVA per approximately 2 parts of water).
Apply this mixture with aid of paintbrush or roller upon the Venetian Recol® Plaster.
Allow the finish to dry completely.
In another recipient uniformly mix 1 part of Recol® Glaze (as delayer of drying) with 1 part of water and 1 part of Venetian Recol® Plaster.
To modify the hue of the mixture, use Recol® Tint.
Impregnate the paintbrush with this mixture and apply it in short traces upon the sealed surface.
Before this is completely dry, slide the grainer or rocker softly but uniformly in the same direction of previous coats to highlight the wood type effect. In the sample we used Venetian Recol® Plaster arena and Recol® Tint ocre.
