Materials: Venetian Recol® Plasterverde primaveral, 5 inches spatula, 1.5 (or lower) inches spatula, metallic trowel, Recol® Wax-Neutral, soft piece of cloth and sandpaper number 400, 500, 600 and 1000.
Step 1
Verify that the surface is porous and smooth, clean, dry and free of dust, grease, loose particles, paint in bad condition or any other contaminant agent.
Apply a uniform coat of Venetian Recol® Plaster verde primaveralin vertical direction with the trowel and, once the surface has dried completely, sand it with sandpaper number 400 in the same direction of the application.
Withdraw the dust.
Apply a second coat with the 1.5 (or less) inches spatula keeping the same vertical direction, in long, continuous and defined sections, leaving a light texture in both sides of the spatula.
Cut and withdraw, with the edge of the spatula, the excesses of Venetian Recol® Plaster that formed the previous texture, before the product dries completely.
Step 2
Sand superficially the surface from the step 1 with sandpaper number 500 in the same vertical direction of application and withdraw the dust with a soft cloth.
Apply two or more thin layers (translucent) of Venetian Recol® Plaster in the same direction of previous coats until achieving the leveling of the surface.
Sand between dry coats with sandpaper number 600 and sand the last coat with sandpaper number 1000 to obtain an excellent sheen.
Step 3
If you want to shine the surface, verify that the edge of the spatula is sharp and does not present imperfections that may scratch the surface.
Shine by rubbing strongly the dry surface with the edge of the spatula.
If you want to obtain more sheen, apply with spatula a very thin coat of Recol® Wax, let it to dry and rub the surface again. Recol® Wax intensifies sheen and color, enhancing the hardness, resistance and washability of the surface.
The secret of this technique is to work all the steps in the same direction.
