Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer can be applied on any wood surface, whenever this surface is clean, dry, free of dust, dirt, grease, loose particles, contaminant agents and paint in bad condition.
Repair defects of the surface such as holes or cracks using Recol®’s Catalyzed Sealer.
Stir separately Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer and the catalyzer with aid of a clean spatula
Mix 20 parts in volume of Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer per 1 part in volume of catalyzer, for instance: for one gallon of Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer, use 200 c.c. of catalyzer and for one quarter of gallon of Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer, use 20 c.c. of catalyzer.
Stir uniformly the mixture Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer and catalyzer with aid of clean spatula.
Prepare just the quantity you need because the mixture Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer and catalyzer has a 8 hours lifetime.
Make sure you have good ventilation during the application.
The application tool is the conventional air sprayer.
Make sure the tool is in good condition for use, as well as the compressor.
The product is ready to use. Do not dilute with thinner.
Apply initially on the wood Recol®’s Catalyzer Sealer to provide a uniform, smoothness finish.
Apply form 2 to 3 coats of Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer until having the desired finish. Do not sand between coats.
Allow a dry time of at least 1 hour between coats.
Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquer comes in transparent colorless and transparent color presentations.
The Recol®’s Catalyzed Lacquers can be mixed among them and with Recol® Dye in order to modify the color of the wood.
