Measure the dimensions of the board of DryWall and cut the joint tape according to the length of all the sides of this board.
Apply a coat of 10cm of wide of Recol® Panel to surround the mudded area using a spatula for putty.
Place immediately the tape along the joint area just on the fresh Recol® Panel, in such way that the joint tape remains centered between the boards. The angles between the ceiling and the walls, as well as the corners, must be reinforced doubling the joint tape in order to be adapted to the angle and embedded in the compound.
Using a clean spatula, remove the excess of Recol® Panel, through the application of pressure with the spatula along the joint tape. Continue the same operation until completing the application in the four sides of the boards. This step fixes the tape to the surface and removes any bubble of air trapped under the joint tape.
Allow Recol® Panel to dry completely.
When the area of work has dries completely, apply from two to three additional thin coats of Recol®Panel on the previously treated areas, expanding the application of product up to 10cm or 15cm of the treated initial area. All the holes of nails or screws should receive three coats of Recol® Panel. These coats can be applied at the time you apply each coat on the boards.
Allow all the coats of Recol® Panel dry completely and then sand slightly with sandpaper number 220 between each coat. Make sure you do not sand depth, because you can damage the joint tape.
Clean the treated area.
Decoration: all the treated areas should be completely dry, free of dust and must have a coat of high quality primary sealer of high solids, type matt, before applying the paint, coating or other decorative materials.
